A disabled British schoolgirl will make history when she becomes the first double amputee to walk down the catwalk at New York Fashion Week

***EXCLUSIVE*** Nine-year-old Daisy-May Demetre was chosen to appear for French-inspired fashion line Lulu et Gigi Couture, after its founder spotted her modelling in London. Her appearance at the prestigious New York Fashion Week will mark the first time a double amputee has starred in the show. The Birmingham schoolgirl is also set to star in Paris Fashion Week on September 23. Daisy-May was born with fibular hemimelia, where part or all of the fibular bone in the leg is missing, which led to her legs being amputated. Her parents Alex and Claire, both 37, were given the difficult choice between watching Daisy-May grow up with deformed feet she couldn't use - or allow a double amputation. Hoping prosthetics would give her a better quality of life, she had her left leg removed below the knee, and the right leg removed above the knee, when she was just 18 months old. But they never dreamed that their daughter would become a fearless gymnast, as well as a model for Britain’s largest clothing catalogue, Boden. Since taking up modelling, Daisy-May has also worked for Nike and Matalan, and represented Lulu et Gigi at London Kids' Fashion Week.

A green-fingered couple rented an allotment to grow all their own flowers - for their WEDDING

***EXCLUSIVE*** Tyler and Aimee Morrison spent a year growing colourful blooms which adorned the guests, tables and venue at their nuptials. Their flowers decorated the buttonholes of the groomsmen's suits and even the confetti was made out of dried petals from their plot.  They grew poppies, dahlias, Cosmos, and sweetpeas, as well as plenty of wildflowers, including blue cornflowers.  Their countryside wedding venue was filled with bouquets, table arrangements, and a floral arch of 20 different types of pink, white, purple and yellow flowers.  And they had enough left over to dry some out and press them - so that they could be showered with a confetti of their own petals as they walked out of the ceremony.  The couple grew all the flowers themselves in an allotment they took on just twelve months before their wedding on August 10 after almost nine years together.

An RAF veteran who survived 31 daring raids during the Second World War has been back inside a Halifax Bomber - seven decades after his last flight

***EXCLUSIVE*** Fearless grandfather-of-one Douglas Petty, 96, was able to once again explore the majestic aircraft, similar to the four-engined heavy bombers he flew in during his twenties. He joined the war effort in 1943 and trained as a Flight Engineer before teaming up with a crew of six Canadian airmen from 429 RCAF Squadron based at RAF Leeming. Douglas was required to perform “anything and everything” in the aircraft such as making sure there was enough fuel on-board and when called upon, manning a gun turret.
