The most expensive doubles ever: fans who have paid bank to look like celebs

Which fan has paid the most money to look like their favorite star?

It’s one thing to dress up as your favorite celebrity or character, but it’s another thing entirely to pay thousands of dollars attempting to look exactly like them. But that is just what some fans are doing in their quest to change their bodies to resemble their favorite star.

Valeria Lukyanova — Barbie.

Ukraine's Valeria Lukyanova is well-known for being the spitting image of a Barbie doll. She claims to be “against feminism,” which isn't her only controversial belief. She also has eccentric views on beauty, believing that it has changed because of “race-mixing.” According to Lukyanova, “Ethnicities are mixing now, so there's degeneration, and it didn't used to be like that. Remember how many beautiful women there were in the 1950s and 1960s, without any surgery? And now, thanks to degeneration, we have this.” Lukyanova denies the assertion that she's had any surgery.

Herbert Chavez — Superman.

Known as "Pinoy Superman," Herbert Chavez rivals even the Man of Steel's biggest fans. The Filipino fashion designer's love of Kal-El began at the tender age of 5, and in the interim years, Chavez has reportedly received over 20 surgeries, ranging from facial work like rhinoplasties and jaw work to body work like pec implants and liposuction so that he could look like Krypton's favorite son. But he's not stopping there, the journey also allegedly includes a leg-lengthening procedure that clocks in at an astounding $250,000. In a 2015 episode of Botched, Chavez estimated that he'd already spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $20,000 just to resemble Superman.

Bryan Ray — Britney Spears.

Ever since Britney Spears became a household name in 1999, the pop icon has amassed a legion of fans the world over. That's why it's no surprise that multiple people have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars to look as much like her as possible. According to TheTalko, Bryan Ray allegedly spent a whopping $80,000 on 90 procedures to resemble Britney. In Ray's own words, "Britney will always be one of my biggest inspirations, I love that she was the biggest star in the world went through an incredibly hard time and came out on top."

Tobias Strebel — Justin Bieber.

Toby Sheldon — born Tobias Strebel — reportedly spent $100,000 on plastic surgeries to look just like pop idol Justin Bieber, an obsession that landed him appearances on reality shows like TLC's My Strange Addiction and Botched. Sadly, in 2015, Sheldon was found dead in a Motel 6 in Los Angeles at the age of 35. A coroner confirmed in 2016 that the aspiring songwriter's death was due to an accidental drug overdose.

Pixee Fox — Jessica Rabbit.

Dubbed the “living cartoon,” North Carolina's own Pixee Fox has reportedly undergone an astronomical 200 surgeries all to look like her favorite cartoon character, Jessica Rabbit. All of it reportedly clocks in at around $100K ... a total that is said to cover eye implants in order to attain the animated vixen's particular shade of green and the removal of six ribs in the name of the ever-elusive 16-inch waist.

Jordan James Parke — Kim Kardashian.

Everyone wants to keep up with the Kardashians, as is clear from the fact that so many are hell-bent on looking like the next Kim Kardashian. Jordan James Parke reportedly dropped a staggering $130,000 to look like Kardashian, which included , "Botox in my forehead between my eyebrows, my eyes, sides of my face. I've had lip filler, chin filler, cheek filler. I've had my nose done, and I have regular vampire facials as well which obviously Kim has done. Chemical peels ... You name it, I've pretty much tried it."

Rodrigo Alves — Ken.

Barbie may have been the ideal of many for years, but her male counterpart, the Ken doll, has his fair share of fans hoping to copy his perfect plastic looks. Brazilian-born Roddy Alves reportedly spent an outrageous $650,000 to look like a walking Ken doll, but after coming out as transgender to The Mirror in January, shifted her focus to looking like Barbie. Alves has appeared on various reality shows, including Botched and Celebrity Big Brother. And even though Roddy reportedly faces the threat of her nose falling off due to all the surgery, her spirits remain high. “I’m known as Ken but inside I’ve always felt like Barbie.”
