You can sleep under the Times Square Ball with this Airbnb stay hosted by Mariah Carey

New York, United States: Mariah Carey will be back in New York's Times Square for New Year's Eve - but this time as an Airbnb host. The singer, who has performed in Times Square in previous years on December 31, will be personally greeting (virtually) lucky guests who will be calling the world-famous spot home for a night in a transparent dome. Airbnb and Nasdaq are teaming up to bring a couple of lucky New Yorkers a New Year’s Eve experience unlike any other as they see in 2021 in a geodesic dome with panoramic views of the New Year's Eve Ball and the confetti celebrations, having chatted earlier with host Mariah. With Times Square celebrations going virtual this year, guests will have a truly unique experience during the traditional confetti celebrations, right below the ball. The Airbnb guests will have access to an indoor lounge that's adorned with local art by Jason Douglas Griffin. There they can enjoy a dinner prepared by a private chef and watch the celebrations erupting around the world. And if sleeping outside isn't enticing, there's a comfy double bed inside to snuggle up in.

World's first motorcycle airbag jeans

A company has shown off what they claim is the world's first motorcycle airbag jeans. Designed for bikers, the garment deploys if the rider is thrown from their vehicle. Moses Shahrivar, founder of Mo’cycle and the designer of the motorcycle airbag jeans, explains: „The majority of all injuries in a motorcycle accident occurs to the lower body. The airbag jeans offer airbag protection for new areas on the lower body that previously has been unprotected. The airbag jeans will be able to protect against impact forces in new ways that was not possible before. The airbag jeans are under development; the first mechanical prototype works and we are working on the second electronic prototype. We will be close to launch when we have made the 3rd CE approved prototype. In 2005 Mo’cycle developed motorcycle jeans in a collaboration with Harley-Davidson Sweden, the MC jeans were launched by Harley-Davidson's official stores.
