Aceh Jaya Regency, Aceh Province, Indonesia: These shocking and saddening images show an elephant who has been killed by a hunter's trap in Indonesia. The Sumatran elephant was found dead in Alue Meuraksa Village in the Aceh Province on Friday, March 5, 2021. The male elephant, who is thought to be around ten years old, died after his left front leg was caught in the hunting trap. As the elephant's body was beginning to rot, officers think the body will have been lying abandoned for around 4 weeks.

Art collective burn a Banksy to attempt improve its value

Brooklyn, New York, United States: A collective has burnt a Banksy picture to make a unique digital-only version. The group, calling themselves BurntBanksy, reportedly bought a $95,000 screenprint of „Morons (White)” from New York’s Taglialatella Gallery. They then recorded themselves setting fire to the piece in Brooklyn on 3rd of March, before listing it for sale as a non-fungible token (NFT). An NFT is a special type of cryptographic token which represents something unique; non-fungible tokens are thus not mutually interchangeable. There were indications that the NFT sold for 228.69 ETH.
