Images range from tawny to spotted predators, endangered elephants and rhino to vast flocks of waders from the Wash and rural bluebells in Surrey. “It has been very tough,” Paul explains. “It seems that travel has been the sacrificial lamb for our government, but this will not stop me from photographing here in the UK which, although may not have many large predators, still has beauty in every county.”

The Kingfisher, which can travel up to 25 mph, caught a freshwater minnow fish in its beak. The Japanese dwarf flying squirrels glide from their holes high up in the trees to feed on alder flowers - but rarely take flight in the daytime. The squirrels can grow up to 20 centimetres and have membranes connecting their wrists and ankles, enabling them to soar from tree to tree. The photos of the adorable squirrels were captured by local photographer Takashi Kubo on Japan's most northernmost island of Hokkaido.

The pictures were taken by Catalin Chitu by drone in a small field in Thanh My Loi ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The 37 year old, who is from Romania but lives in Vietnam, said „The farmers work very long hours, from morning until dusk harvesting the rice. Typically big machinery would be used to automate the threshing process but the farmers need to save money so still choose to do it by hand." “The harvested rice usually sells at market for 45.000 VND (£1.50) per kg.”
